A. Prof. Jeffrey T. Fowler is currently the Director and CEO of Osprey Protective Services, Inc., a Missouri-based security consulting firm offering expertise to businesses and individuals in the areas of physical and personal security. The firm also sells security-related products of both standard and customized natures. As an online professor, he teaches numerous criminal justice and security management related courses for American Military University, an on-line university specializing in a student population composed principally of government and military professionals. A. Prof. Fowler served for more than twenty years in the United States Army. He commanded the U.S. Military Academy Military Police Company, West Point, New York. He also served as the Intelligence and Physical Security Officer for 60th Ordnance Group in Germany. His job as Director for Security, Miesau Army Depot, Germany placed him in charge of a major military/industrial security and law enforcement operation responsible for securing approximately six billion dollars worth of government assets. He managed a cross-cultural security force of approximately four hundred. He also managed the largest military working dog kennel outside of the continental United States. His army schooling includes: Countering Terrorism on U.S. Army Installations, Conventional Physical Security, and both the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. He also attended the British Army’s “NATO Staff Officer Explosive Ordnance Detachment Course” and was sent by the Army to Aspen, Colorado where he attended Executive Security International’s premier professional executive protective security course resulting in his receiving the “Certified Protection Specialist” or, “CPS” designation. He received the “CHS-III” designation from the American College of Forensic Examiners Intl. denoting the college’s recognition of his expertise in Homeland Security. He is also a "Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist" or CAS, through the Anti-Terrorism Accreditation Board. A. Prof. Fowler received a Master of Arts in Military History in 1991 and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration in 1984. He was a distinguished Military Graduate and a recipient of the George C. Marshall Award. A. Prof. Fowler maintains contacts within the U.S. Military, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is a member of the American Society for industrial Security (ASIS), Missouri Chapter, the American College of Forensic Examiners International, the American Legion, Polo, Missouri Chapter, and is a member of the Military Officers Association of America. He is the author of Axis Cavalry in World War II, published by Osprey Publishing, United Kingdom, November, 2001. He has had articles published in the “Military Police Journal,” “Dressage and CT” magazine, “Osprey Military Journal.” "Inside Homeland Security," and the Journal of Applied Security Research," among others. He provided national conference workshops in Homeland Security for the American College of Forensic Examiners International's "Certtified in Homeland Security" National Conferences from 2005-2008.
